Roxy and I want to recommend our favorite "dog friendly" trails, establishments and more.

Daniel’s Pass – Colorado Springs, CO

Daniel’s Pass is in the Cheyenne Canyon area of Colorado Springs and provides a route up to Mt. Muscoco that’s different than the route that goes up to Mt. Cutler. This is heavily treed so it could be a nice hike to do in the summer when the sun is out. It is mostly just switch backs climbing up the mountain.

I don’t personally like to take Roxy up/down really rocky parts, so we stopped around the spot that the Mt. Muscoco part starts. It gets pretty steep past that part and bigger rocks to climb. I will probably go back and do the hike without Roxy. Roxy is a strong girl, and she wants to go faster down rocky portions than I do.

Our hike ended up being about 3.4 miles with about 600 in elevation gain by stopping and turning around near the Mt. Muscoco sign.

Here’s the link to the hike on All Trails.
